Manchester United vs Arsenal Match Tomorrow: How Much Money at Stake?

Manchester United is the richest club in England. They are going to face Arsenal tomorrow. Well, in this entry, I am not going to say anything about the match. If you want good analysis then you should read this one: Manchester United vs Arsenal Preview, Live Score: EPL 2009-10

I want to say some few words about the money involved in the match. First of all, let me tell you that when it comes to buying players, Manchester Untied is way ahead than the Gunners. Arsenal cannot afford to buy top players with millions of dollars at this moment because their budget is extremely tight as a result of the matter that they are paying huge amount of debt that they incurred with the building of the new stadium called The Emirates. Secondly, Manchester United has a stadium with around 76000 seating capacity and on the other hand, Arsenal has 60,000 seating capacity stadium. So, naturally, United can get more money from selling tickets. Arsenal has one advantage- they are a London based club and London is the capital city in England. In fact, when it comes to revenue or being profitable, Arsenal is not far from Man U that much but as they have to put a lot of money for loan repayment, they cannot afford to spend money on buying top players.

Arjen Robben Earns Interest from Manchester United?

Well, it is true that Manchester United has already revealed that no new player would join the Old Trafford camp this summer. However, if the reports out in the media are to be believed, then Manchester United might make a surprise bid for Real Madrid’s Dutch winger Arjen Robben who has been in excellent form now. His performance was impressive during Real’s pre-season as well.

However, Real Madrid can not afford to keep him at Bernabue since the arrival of big money signings like Cristiano Ronaldo, Kaka, Karim Benzema and Xabi Alonso. Moreover, Real Madrid must offload some players in order to give a realistic shape to its extra-ordinarily big squad.

Arjen Robben has been valuated at £25million and it is pretty much clear that a number of clubs are now interested to get the service of the Netherlands international. It is noteworthy that Manchester United showed an interest in him in the past too. However, United did not get the chance to land the player as Chelsea, looking for star players with bucket full of money, signed him in 2004 from PSV Eindhoven. Now, let us see if Manchester United would really make another shot to bag the acquisition of the player.

What can Japanese People Learn from the Economic Recession?

It seems that Japan is officially out of recession. So, the people should have some kind of sigh of relief at this moment. They should be happy but it is really too early to celebrate. May be the worst is over but the bad condition is not surely over. In fact, there are two things to worry for the global economy. Price of crude oil is increasing and it can be a cause of real worry for everybody including Japanese people. The second problem is that this time, there was less rain in India and as a result, Indian agricultural production would surely suffer a lot. India is one of the leading agricultural producers in the world. Well, the effect of Economic Recession is still evident in many places including in Miss Universe 2009 event.

So, India may need to import agriculture commodities next year and it can push the price of these products high in the international market. Well, I clearly remember that before the beginning of the economic recession- the same two things happen. I just hope that we are not heading for another recession before even getting out of this one. So, Japan should be on alert and should not celebrate at this moment.

Honda to Bring out Electronic Car in American Market

It was known to all that the current Obama administration in America is very sensitive about environmental issues. One of the biggest challenges for environment in America is the matter that against every 1000 people, there are nearly 800 cars. So, it is one of the major causes of environment pollution in the country. Thus, environmental friendly cards are becoming very attractive for many consumers and car manufacturers. Now, Honda company has stated that they are going to make an electronic car and take it in the American market but it is not clear when it will come out in the market.

Reuters reported:

A spokesperson for the company, Japan's No. 2 automaker, said it was developing an electric car but had not decided when to launch it.

The company could also not comment on the Nikkei business daily's report, without sources, that a prototype of the car would be unveiled at the Tokyo Motor Show in October.

The vehicle is expected to be around the size of a minicar, the Nikkei said.

The reality is that electronic cars very expensive to produce and it is difficult to charge them in a short time. So, it is obvious that it would take a lot of time before we can find a real good electric car.

Swine Flu in Japan

Swine flu has made headlines in Japanese media. Many people are scared as this disease is spreading in the country. The government officials are busy with the preparations to combat it. I found a report that until now, nearly 5000 people in the country got affected.

Reuters reported:

Japan's National Institute of Infectious Diseases said on Friday that the new flu has reached epidemic proportions in Japan after the number of flu patients reported by about 5,000 core medical institutions rose above 1.00 per facility, which is Japan's yardstick for the start of a flu epidemic. The benchmark often rises above 1.00 with seasonal flu.

-- Japan last month confirmed its first case of a genetic mutation of the H1N1 flu virus that shows resistance to antiviral flu drug, Tamiflu, made by Switzerland's Roche AG. But the two main antiviral drugs, Tamiflu and GlaxoSmithkline's Relenza, have helped most patients.

It is bad news. Well, I hope that it does not become a epidemic in the country.

Japan: Is Economic Recession Really Over?

Just a few days ago, we saw reports in the media that economic recession is over in Japan. There was around 0.9% GDP growth in April June Quarter compared to the earlier 3 months. This is welcome news for everyone in the country.

Business Week reported:

The big bounce—GDP plunged by at over 10% (annualized) in the previous two quarters—owes much to stimulus packages in Japan and around the world. Domestic spending, aided by an 8% rise in government expenditure, and earnings from exports both increased. The trend could continue: “We expect to see an acceleration in Japan’s real GDP growth rate for the July–September quarter,” Credit Suisse economist Hiromichi Shirakawa wrote in a note to clients.

At the same time, we have heard some news about Germany and France. It seems that things are going to improve in Korea too. Well, still I am a bit skeptical about Japanese economy. Its share market is not doing that much well and has become instable. I hope that Japan can come back strongly soon in the global economy.

Toyota Suffering from Economic Recession in India

It is not only Toyota but also Honda suffering during the time of economic recession in India. I am not surprised with this news because condition of Indian economy has not been good in the last one year. Hardly anyone now talks about high economic growth in the country. Export earning suffered a series of setbacks in 2009 so far. Even in the outsourcing sector, there is less optimism now. In such a time, most people do not want to think of buying a new car.

Hindu Business wrote:

The two leading Japanese car-makers — Honda and Toyota — saw the fortunes of their Indian operations dip in 2008-09, with Honda Siel Cars India Ltd reporting a loss for the year, while Toyota Kirloskar Motor Pvt Ltd saw its profit fall 41 per cent.

The vehicle sales of the two companies fell, resulting in a drop in income.

Both the companies have said in their annual reports that their operations were affected by the general economic slowdown, rising input costs and the weakening rupee.

I think that both Honda and Toyota should come with some inexpensive car models just for the Indian market. Maruti and Hyundai are successful in Indian market and both of them focus on inexpensive cars.

2010 Toyota Prius: A good and Safe Car

I found the news in CNN that 2010 Toyota Prius has been announced as a safe car by The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. This is good news for the company. Of course, this is not the only car that has been announced as a safe car in the hybrid category.

CNN reported:

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety announced Thursday that the Toyota Prius and Honda Insight had become the latest hybrid vehicles to get the group's Top Safety Pick award.

It is surely a prestigious thing for Toyota. This is a good time for hybrid cars and most people want to focus on safety. Car insurance companies care for this matter a lot because they have to pay a lot of money in auto insurance every year.

South Korean Economy: The Worst of Economic Recession Over?

I think that the on going global economic recession has been hitting many countries for almost one year. Last year, in September, we heard the news of Lehman Brothers filing for bankruptcy and then just one after another company started to give us bad news. This caused massive problem for Korean economy because it mainly depends on exporting to other rich countries like USA. Even in Asia, its major trading partners like China suffered from the recession and it became like a Chain reaction. Still, the Korean economy is under pressure and many people in the country are unemployed and worried about their future. The good news is that it may be the worst has already been over. There is new hope for revival.

I found two reports in this regard and I would like you to read them:

S. Korea's economy bottoming out from recessionary phase: KDI

S. Korean economy to recover faster than other OECD nations: report

Of course, it is still quite some time that the economy will become strong again. We now live in a global village and that is why the political leaders of all the countries should realize this matter that all the economies are connected to each other.

Asianbiz: From Where I started my Blogging Career

I started this blog on July 17 2005. It was four years ago. Well, that time, I did it as some kind of a hobby and I did not have enough time to take it seriously. At that time, I had no idea how to earn money through blogging, how to get visitors to my blog or which way to create content. This blog never seriously took off because I got engaged to Know More Media and wrote on a similar topic in SouthAsiaBiz.com. Then Know More Media got hit badly by the economic recession and shut down its business and then I had to be on my own.

For the last 3 and half years, I am a full time blogger and today I remembered that I started everything from this blog. I wish that I could give some more time to this blog. I also wish that I could take it to WordPress and have my own domain. However, our time is not unlimited and we have to focus on earning money through this limited time. Hopefully, in future, I can take this blog really seriously.
