Arjen Robben Earns Interest from Manchester United?

Well, it is true that Manchester United has already revealed that no new player would join the Old Trafford camp this summer. However, if the reports out in the media are to be believed, then Manchester United might make a surprise bid for Real Madrid’s Dutch winger Arjen Robben who has been in excellent form now. His performance was impressive during Real’s pre-season as well.

However, Real Madrid can not afford to keep him at Bernabue since the arrival of big money signings like Cristiano Ronaldo, Kaka, Karim Benzema and Xabi Alonso. Moreover, Real Madrid must offload some players in order to give a realistic shape to its extra-ordinarily big squad.

Arjen Robben has been valuated at £25million and it is pretty much clear that a number of clubs are now interested to get the service of the Netherlands international. It is noteworthy that Manchester United showed an interest in him in the past too. However, United did not get the chance to land the player as Chelsea, looking for star players with bucket full of money, signed him in 2004 from PSV Eindhoven. Now, let us see if Manchester United would really make another shot to bag the acquisition of the player.
