England won the match by 21 in a much needing 4th ODI victory

With a 21-run victory against Australia in the 4th ODI match played at the Adelaide Oval, England cricket team became successful to keep their hope alive to win the series.

Jonathan Trott emerged himself as match savior after scoring a century in this match that England headed for much needed victory. His 102 runs from 126 balls helped England to be 3-1 in the 7-match ODI series.

Jonathan Trott made good partnership with Matt Prior and because of their 113-run contribution in the first-wicket stand England could score 299 runs after losing 8 wickets.

After two consecutive ducks, Matt Prior showed his aggressive form as he scored 67 off 58 balls including 8 boundaries and 1 six. However, Jonathan Trott showed his all rounder form as he picked two important wickets with the ball.

Paul Collingwood became the first English batsman to reach the 5000 ODI runs landmark. He scored 27 runs playing equal number of balls.

Australia started well when they came to chase England’s 300-run target to win the match. But the departure of Shane Watson for 64 increased England’s possibility to win the match. Cameron White and Steven Smith tried hard to reach the target but they could not make it possible. Cameron White was caught by Michael Yardy off Jonathan Trott. Tail ender Brett Lee played well and scored 39 runs in the 8th wicket stand.

Australian supporters were not happy for their national cricket team’s defeat as it came in Australia’s national holiday.

Australia took the lead of the series after three consecutive victories and they needed to win the 4th ODI match to ensure their series victory. However, they failed to do it.

Injury will be a big problem for England to fight against Australia in the 4th ODI

Injury will be a major cause of concern for England cricket team when they will take on the home side Australia to play the 4th ODI match on 26 January 2011.

Fans already know that the fourth ODI match is going to be the most important match for England because they will struggle hard to keep their hope alive to comeback in the series. On the other hand, Australia will be looking to continue their winning streak and seal the series victory as they are leading the 7-match ODI series by 3-0.

Tim Bresnan is the last player who has been included in the injury list. He has been sent home after sustaining injury. He has torn his calf muscle. It has made him unavailable for the upcoming ICC World Cup Cricket 2011.

Other players who were left out because of same problem are Kevin Pietersen, Graeme Swann and Stuart Broad. Kevin Pietersen hurt his groin and has less possibility to make his return to the national side.

However, Stuart Broad is likely to make his return to the nation squad after being recovered from injury. He was seen joining the training session with the England squad to help his recovery from an abdominal strain.

However, James Anderson has been given rest to avoid injury. He is the key bowler of England cricket team.

The reason of their injuries is England’s busy cricket schedule in a short time. It is expected that injured players will be recovered soon before the start of the World Cup.

England will struggle to save their ODI series defeat

The fourth ODI match against Australia will be a tough challenge for the touring team England to keep their hope alive to make their comeback in the 7-match ODI series.

It is going to be a crucial one for England cricket team. They will have to win the match if they want to win the ODI series too. Australia is now leading the ODI series by 3-0 with three consecutive victories. Now, they need one more victory to seal the ODI series. Obviously, Australia will expect to ensure their one-day international series victory as soon as possible after winning the 4th ODI match, which will be played on January 25, 2011.

No doubt, England will try their best to fight back in the competition and that is why they have to win tomorrow’s match. Fans may see some big changes in the England squad. England defeated Australia in the Ashes test but their form in ODI format of cricket game is not satisfactory. Looking at their poor form in the limited over cricket game, anyone may think that England cannot avoid the whitewash.

It is surprising to see that despite their thumping defeat in the Ashes test, they made their return with full of strength and confidence.

The fourth ODI match will be an acid test for England batsman, Matt Prior. He is out of form. He has failed to score any run in his last two matches. If he fails to prove his batting skill then he would be dropped from the squad for the rest of the matches.

The big question is that if England can survive their hope of winning the ODI series.

England put 59 runs lead against Australia in the 4th Ashes Test

Australian cricket team is struggling hard to take the control of the 5-match Ashes Test series as they got all out for 98 in the first innings of the fourth test. Their opposite team England is going to put a big chasing score in front of them.

English bowling trio- Chris Tremlett, James Anderson and Tim Bresnan demolished the Australian batting line up. Both Chris Tremlett and James Anderson took four wickets each. On the other hand, Tim Bresnan took two wickets. Their dominance over Australian batsmen took them less than two sessions to pack the host in a poor score. The most interesting thing is that Australia lost all the wickets behind the wicket.

Scoring 157 runs without losing any wicket, England put 59 runs lead ahead of Australia. Andrew Strauss and Alastair Cook showed their discipline batting and scored half century centuries apiece. Andrew Strauss was unbeaten on 64 while Cook remained not out on 80.

Aussie bowlers did not look much impressive with the ball. They failed to take any wicket in the opening day. Their failure in both batting and bowling line up mean that England will take the lead 2-1 in the 5-match Ashes Test series.

Now, the series is level by 1-1. England took 1-0 lead after winning the 2nd Test match by an innings and 71 runs. However, Australia made bounce back in the series after winning the 3rd Test by 267 runs.

Australia will have to do something miracle to regain their Ashes trophy. However, it is also a big challenge for England to save their trophy in Australian soil.

The Future of MBA in England Rests on Asian Students: Perhaps

I just finished reading an excellent feature in the Independent: Can the MBA boom last? by Peter Brown. Mr. Brown has talked about the growing popularity of this degree even during the time of economic recession. He has given us a lot of information about MBA in British Universities. He wrote:
"The exchange rate has worked in our favour," agrees Professor Michael Luger, director of Manchester Business School (MBS). "But of course, that could turn the other way. A lot of our students come from China and India, places that are developing their own higher education systems. So we're not counting on these robust numbers in the future."
Behind the current boom, then, lie some big questions. How many of these students are simply sheltering from the storm? How long can they afford to do that? Will there be enough jobs for them? And beyond that, can they be taught to avoid the kind of behaviour that caused the crisis?

So, from the report, we can know that many students from Asia now go to UK to study MBA. Well, I think that the bubble is going to burst soon. The British economy is suffering a lot from economic recession. So, there is not a lot of room for jobs in the British economy for these foreign students. The same is true for countries like India and China who are also suffering from recession.
