Mitchell Starc’s knee injury will keep him out of the start of the IPL 2015

Australia’s left-arm fast bowler, Mitchell Starc, will miss the opening matches of the IPL 2015 due to his knee injury. It will take him two-three weeks to get recovery from his illness. After that, he will join Royal Challengers Bangalore, with whom he had debuted last season.
According to Alex Kountouris, physio of the Australian cricket team, the 25-year-old fast bowler had some pain on his knee during the latter stages of the World Cup. He needs some time off to rest and recovery.
His performance for Royal Challengers in 2014 was superb. He took 14 wickets with an economy of 7.49. He will have to compete with New Zealand’s Adam Milne, who was pulled out of the World Cup with a heel problem. The team also has India’s Varun Aaron and Ashok Dinda, and Australian seamer and winner of the Bradman Young Cricketer of the Year Sean Abbott in their fast bowling stock.

Mitchell Starc played 27 matches out of 37 for his team over the last 12 months. He was declared “Player of the Tournament” for his outstanding performance in the World Cup- claiming 22 wickets at an average of 10.18 with an economy of 3.5 per over. He became the No. 1 bowler in ODI ranking. Hope he will continue his good run in the cash-rich tournament.
