Bharat Arun has been appointed
as the assistant coach of the Royal Challengers Bangalore. For the first time,
he has become part of an IPL team’s staff as deputy to Daniel Vettori. The 52-year-old
Arun, who is India ’s former
fast bowler, is currently working as India ’s bowling coach.
Before being appointed
as India ’s bowling coach, Bharat
Arun was in charge of the National Cricket Academy
in Bangalore as
well as the head coach of the Indian team that went to the Under-19 World Cup. His
experience to work with the national team will be a big asset for the club.
Royal Challengers
Bangalore has always performed poorly despite having a number of star players. Last
year, they finished seventh on the points table. Arun is hoping that this time
RCB will do well.
