Pakistan
lost the opening match to India by 76 runs due to the middle order batsmen’s
inability to build a partnership. Skipper Misbah-ul-Haq was the highest run
scorer of his team. Playing at No. 4, he scored 76 runs. So, it is very natural
that the in-form player will asked to promote his position in the batting order
for the match against the West Indies. However, the 40-year-old Misbah did not
agree to move
himself up the order to remedy his side’s batting woes.
Pakistan
will take on the West Indies in Christchurch on Saturday. It is the second
match for both of them. Both teams lost their opening match. So, it is going to
be a crucial match for both the teams.
