Gary Kirsten will work as a consultant for the Proteas

Gary Kirsten, who was once the coach of the Indian cricket team, will be seen helping the South African cricket team in the ongoing cricket World Cup by giving advice. The 47-year-old Kirsten joined the team on Wednesday after returning from the players’ auction in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Current South African coach, Russell Domingo, has expressed his happiness getting Kirsten beside him.
India will take on South Africa on Sunday at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in a crucial Pool B match. Both teams will try hard to win the match because it will almost ensure the winning team a place in the quarterfinals.
Both teams won their opening matches. Beating Pakistan by 76 runs in Adelaide, India maintained their unbeaten streak against their arch-rival opponent in the World Cup. On the other hand, South Africa defeated Zimbabwe by 62 runs in Hamilton.

It was going to be their fourth meeting in the World Cup. Earlier they met thrice at the 1992, 1999 and 2011 editions and India lost each of them. So, the upcoming match is going to be a big challenge for the defending champion to come out of their losing streak against South Africa in the World Cup.
