Taijul Islam’s wrist injury raises doubt of his World Cup participation

Bangladeshi left-arm spinner, Taijul Islam, has put his possibility of participating in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 under doubt after hurting his left wrist during batting in the nets on Monday evening at the Shere Bangla National Stadium. He was immediately taken to a hospital for an X-ray after the injured area swelled up.

Bangladesh cricket team is now training hard at home. They will leave the country for Brisbane on January 24 for two-week training on Australian soil. The good thing is that Bangladeshi opener, Tamim Iqbal, who underwent knee surgery in late-December, is expected to join the team soon after another appointment with Dr. David Young, the orthopedic specialist.
