It is rumored that Bollywood
actor, Aamir Khan, compelled Rajkumar Hirani, director of PK, to cast
him in the lead role. If the rumor is believed to be true then Aamir Khan was
not the first choice for the religious satire.
Citing an anonymous source
close to the crew of PK, Bollywood Life said
that the director at first considered Ranbir Kapoor to play the lead and approached
him for the same.
When Aamir Khan came to
know about it, he took the advantage of his good relationship with producer Vidhu
Vinod Chopra and together compelled Hirani to cast him instead of Ranbir
Kapoor. After some look tests, director got convinced and decided to cast him. As
he approached Ranbir Kapoor for the role, he offered him a short role in the
film.
