There is no confusion that
the second generation of the iPad Mini is going to be the most anticipated tablet
PC of 2013. It is rumored to be released in the second quarter of 2013.
The aim of launching iPad
Mini was to maintain their dominance in the burgeoning 7-inch tablet
market. It was supposed to be a low-prized tablet PC from Apple. However, its
premium prize range belied the talks of a budget friendly tablet.
iPad Mini received both
good and bad comments from consumers. It was criticized for being expensive
device and not featuring Retina Display. After making its comparison to other tablets
of the same configuration like the Google Nexus 7 and the Kindle Fire, it fared
poorly.
The launch of iPad Mini
gave birth to a worry that it would decrease the sales of iPad. This worry
proved to be a true after Apple had increased the orders for iPad Mini
components and decreased the orders for the conventional iPads.
Apple is the market leader
in this latest computing segment. To maintain their dominance on the 7 inch
tablet market, Apple will have to release a sequel to the iPad Mini as early as
possible and try to solve the problems that iPad Mini faced.
It is also sure that Apple
will have to decrease the price of the iPad Mini 2 if they want to compete with
the well-known brands and stay alive in the small tablet market.
