Geoffrey Boycott says India is favorite against England

The upcoming 5-match ODI series against England is going to be a big challenge for the host nation India. Now they are under huge pressure after losing the recently concluded ODI series to Pakistan. So, they have no other option but to win the series to regain their dominance at home.
Former England captain, Geoffrey Boycott, says that Indian cricket team has the better chance of winning the series against England that will kick off on January 11. According to him, it is about 60-40 in India’s favor against the touring team.
The five-match ODI series between India and England is obviously going to be a competitive one. It is almost sure that there will be no one-sided dominance in the series. Comparing India’s performance at home in the last few series, it can be said that defeating them will not be as tough as it was in the past. India will get some advantage as the host nation and because of that England will have to work hard to get victory.
Indian cricket team has been affected badly after the retirement of some senior players. However, Geoffrey Boycott told them not to be worried for their poor form as it can be attributed to the transitional phase.
This former English player also praised young players like Ajinkya Rahane. He also expected that India will give new players more chance to build the team before the next world cup.
