Shahid Afridi promises to give Mohammad Hafeez full support

Pakistan all-rounder, Shahid Afridi, has ensured that he will provide all kind of assistance to the new T20 captain, Mohammad Hafeez.
Former Pakistan captain made it clear that he was never fond of captaincy. Even, he is not feeling upset for not giving the T20 captaincy. Afridi said,
“As far as I am concerned I have never run after the captaincy. Hafeez is now not only the choice of the board to lead the team but also the choice of a cricket loving nation. I am there to support him all the way just like other players of the team have to do.”
Afridi also assured that beside performing as a player, he will also provide any kind of advice or assistance Hafeez needed.
Afridi is one of the senior players in the national team. Because of his dispute with the board, he was sacked from ODI captaincy and was replaced by Misbah-ul-Haq. Misbah-ul-Haq was named captain in all three formats of cricket game. But earlier this month Hafeez was named the new T20 captain. Misbah will continue to lead the team in Test and ODI cricket.
Afridi said that he wanted to improve his batting average in the upcoming tour of Sri Lanka in the T20 and one-day matches. He has showed good performance with the ball in a practice match organized among the players attending the national camp in Lahore. He is hoping that Pakistan will do well in Sri Lanka as pitches and conditions there generally favor the bowlers.
