Agent Vinod needs Rs 30 crore to get back their production cost

Agent Vinod, which cast Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor in the lead roles, needs to recover only Rs 30 crore which is an achievable target. This much anticipated action-spy film was released on 23rd March and failed to make a bumper opening at the box office.

The cost of the film making was Rs 50 crores and more 12 crores was needed for marketing and total cost was 62 crores. Producer, Dinesh Vijan, said, after selling music and satellite rights for around Rs 30 crores, they have already recovered 50 per cent of the total cost.

He also said, “The task ahead is to make around Rs 30 crores which is a very achievable figure.”

Agent Vinod is the second film from the production company, Illuminati Films, launched by Vijan and Saif. First film from this production company was Love Aaj Kal which was shot in three continents. Vijan said Agent Vinod has been the biggest production of their company which has been filmed in 12 countries.

Agent Vinod has been directed by Sriram Raghavan. Saif played the role of a RAW agent and Kareena as a spy. It was released with mix reviews.

Let’s see if it can make good business in the box office.
