Nokia India introduces E6 and X7 smartphone

With the aim of increasing the sale of smartphone in India, the Finnish company, Nokia, has showcased two new mobile phones- E6 and X7. These two models have been produced targeting business executives and entertainment devotees respectively.

Nokia E6 will be priced at Rs.18,679, while buyers will have to cost Rs.22,829 for X7 model.

These two smartphones come with Symbian Anna operating system. It is the latest update of the Symbian software which will give users greater experience. This latest update comes with new icons and usability enhancements such as improved text input, faster browser, refreshed Ovi Maps and higher security.

Nokia India Marketing Director, Viral Oza, told journalists that the launch of two new devices would help Nokia strong its position in the Indian smartphone market.

Nokia has been struggling hard in the mobile phone market due to the increasing popularity of smartphone. They are continuously losing their market share to other companies. It is thought that their two new models will help them to regain their lost share.

Mr. Oza also said that Nokia would start shipping other phones like N8s, E7s, C7s and C6-01s with the new Symbian Anna software update next month.

Let’s see if E6 and X7 models can help Nokia to get their leading position.
