Kriti Malhotra is one of the few new faces in 2011. This newcomer is going to make her debut in Bollywood with the film Dhobi Ghat. Compared with other newcomers, Kriti Malhotra is perhaps very lucky because she has been cast opposite perfectionist Aamir Khan.
It is the dream of every actress to make her debut opposite a superstar like Aamir Khan. For Kriti Malhotra, it happens without her expectation. However, she is very much excited about it. Now, she is eagerly waiting for the day when the film will be released worldwide.
No doubt, she became very surprised when her friend called her and asked her to audition. Without any curiosity she went give to screen test and audition alone with the camera in a room.
When she went to give audition and screen test, she didn’t know that she would be cast opposite Khan. However, film industry is not unknown to her. She has already worked in many films including Sarkar Raj, Delhi 6 and Action Replayy as an assistant costume designer.
Kriti Malhotra has played the role of Yasmin who is a 22-year-old Muslim girl lives in a small town in UP. On the other hand, Aamir Khan played the role of Arun. The story of the films tells their relationship.
Working with Aamir Khan was a great experience for her. I hope that she would thanks director, Kiran Rao, to cast her for the film.
