Toyota Marked First Quarterly Sales Drop in 7 Years During July-September Quarter

Toyota Motor Corp. has seen its first quarterly fall in global sales in seven years as its global sales dropped more than 4 percent to 2.236 million vehicles in the July-Septemebr quarter. Though the Japanese automaker experienced excellent sales and profits over the last few years because of the heavy demand of Toyota’s fuel-efficient vehicles, the recent global economic crisis stirred a heavy drop in Toyota’s global sales. Especially in the US market, the number of sales volume has been decreased extensively.

Global credit crunch has affected many businesses across the globe so far. Many have lost their jobs and many companies have been shut down already. Who knows what is yet to come in the future. However, it is pretty much understandable that the ongoing economic recession has a direct link up with car industry because if people do not have money at their hand, car sales will definitely be affected.

Holiday Season 2008: Google phone G1 vs BlackBerry Storm vs iPhone

There is the fear of global economic recession and slowdown. Still, life goes on and The holiday season is there. One of the best things to buy in holiday season is perhaps mobile phone. In the western countries, mobile phone is now a very attractive gadget to give and buy and get as a Christmas gift. Last year, Apple’s iPhone was very popular and was perhaps the most attractive Christmas gift for many people. This time, iphone is going to face stiff competition from BlackBerry Storm and Google phone G1.

Telegraph wrote:

The G1, which runs Google's Android operating system - designed to turn the phone into a pocket computer, will hit the shops on Thursday. T-Mobile, which has the exclusive rights to sell the phone in the UK, will open its flagship Oxford Street store in the early hours of the morning so commuters can snap up the phone on the way into work.

Customers queued through the night outside T-mobile's New York store when it was launched in America on Tuesday.

I’m really excited to see the prospect of an intense competition between these three mobile phone sets. I do not know who will be the winner. Do you have any idea?

Global Auto Makers in a Race to Produce Zero-Emission Hybrid Car

There is now a race observed among the auto makers to make zero-emission hybrid cars. It is very natural too because the demand for zero-emission hybrid cars, according to experts, is increasing rapidly. Even the demand for such cars might outpace the supply in the market in the next few years. So, naturally auto makers are going after announcing their plans to get into production of hybrid cars which have zero-emission quality.

At the recently held Paris Motor Show, all the global auto makers showed their electricity-run vehicle to the consumers, an attempt to attract the attention of the consumers from now on so that they can capture a broader chunk of share in the hybrid car market. These cars take electric charges from a socket. You can recharge your car both at home as well as in the loading station.

Some Features of Kodak Zi6 Pocket Camcorder

I got an interesting article about Kodak Zi6 pocket camcorder in Mac World. I feel I should share some of the features of the camcorder that you can carry in your pocket. The most eye-catching feature of Kodak Zi6 pocket camcorder is its price tag of $180. So, it is definitely within the reach of even entry level users.

You might think about Pure Digital’s Flip Ultra or Flip Mino, but the writer of the article says that he likes Kodak Zi6 most. You can take videow ith Kodak Zi6 in 720p HD. Kodak Zi6 pocket camcorder also comes with SD memory slot, which can store up to 32GB. Kodak Zi6 camcorder uses removable batteries. I could not get to use Kodak Zi6 yet, but it seems to be an excellent pocket camcorder.

Review of Canon EOS 30D SLR Digital Camera

With Canon EOS 30D SLR digital camera, you can now capture more sequential frames in the continuous-shooting mode as Canon has increased its number of frames upto 30 JPEG or 11 raw shots at 5 frames per second. It comes with a 2.5 inch LCD monitor which provides significantly better viewing than 1.8 inch 20D model. However, the battery life is not satisfactory with firing only 250 shots in single-charged session.

Canon EOS 30D SLR digital camera provides with high quality photography experience. The camera has both pros and cons. Canon EOS 30D SLR gives excellent low-light performance along with satisfactory controls. Moreover, this digital has features for both professional and new photographers. The pop-up flash of this camera seems to be problematic as it may cast slight shadow with some lenses. You can view only 95% viewing angle in the viewfinder. I have already mentioned about its average battery life. It comes in the market in the price range between $699- $1400.

However, despite the problems, still Canon EOS 30D SLR digital camera has some strong points to attract people. This is mainly for professional users, but if a general user does not have a tight budget, then he can opt to Canon EOS 30D SLR digital camera.
