Stuart Broad cannot play in the first Test against India

It is not sure if England fast bowler, Stuart Broad, can play in the 1st Test match against India starting on November 15 in Ahmedabad. Stuart Broad has sustained an injury during the three-day tour match against Mumbai A that was ended in a draw on Monday.
He has bruised his left heel and his progress will be monitoring just 10 days before the first Test of the four-match series. If he fails to recover within time then England cricket team will have to find someone who can successfully replace him for the vacant post.
Stuart Broad, who is the current vice-captain of England cricket team, is the second injured player after Steven Finn. Steven Finn injured his thigh. Their absence in the national squad will be a big blow.
England’s team management will have to re-think about their bowling attack. Stuart Meaker may replace Stuart Broad in the opening Test match.

Injury left Stuart Broad out of the squad against Sri Lanka

England cricket team will have to play without their fast bowler, Stuart Broad, in the second Test against Sri Lanka. He has been left out of the England squad due to his calf strain and will fly home immediately.

He injured his right leg in the first Test which they lost by 75 runs in Galle on Thursday. However, it has not been so long time that he has recovered from an ankle injury. He underwent scan that revealed strain in his right leg.

Now, the question is that who will replace him for the final Test against Sri Lanka. It is heard that either Steven Finn or Tim Bresnan will be named as his replacement. It will be hard to find a suitable replacement.

The injury of Stuart Broad may put extra pressure over other players.

England captain and opener, Andrew Strauss, has been criticized not only for his team’s defeat in the last four Tests but also his performance with the bat.

He could score only one half-century in his last eight innings and since November 2010 he is without a test century. Despite his poor performance, England batting coach, Graham Gooch, kept faith on Strauss about leading the England cricket team.
