Bangladesh secures their place in the 2017 ICC Champions Trophy

Bangladesh has beaten South Africa in the second ODI match by 7 wickets with 134 balls remaining at hand. It was their second ODI match victory against the Proteas. With this victory, the host country did not only level the series 1-1 but also secured their place in the 2017 ICC Champions Trophy. Their victory has put both West Indies and Pakistan under pressure. Now, either of the teams will fight against each other for the eighth position. One of them will surely miss the opportunity to play in this tournament.
South Africa were bowled out for 162 which was their lowest team total against Bangladesh. Their lowest batting first came in November 2009 when they were bowled out for 119 by England. South African batsmen found it difficult to play both seam and spin on a slow surface. On the other hand, Bangladeshi batsmen looked comfortable when came to chase.

Both Bangladesh and South Africa will face each other on a series decider on July 15.
