Bangladesh is looking to break losing streak against South Africa

Bangladesh’s performance against South Africa is very poor. So far, they could manage only one victory against the Proteas and that came in the 2007 World Cup. Since then, the Tigers have not registered any victory under their belts against them. That is why, they are very much keen on improving their record against South Africa.
The host team is now considering this series as the perfect opportunity to overturn the string of losses. Now, their victory against strong teams is not considered as an accident. Defeating Pakistan and India on their home ground, they have proved that they are no longer weak team.
Bangladesh ODI cricket team under the leadership of Mashrafe Bin Mortaza is constantly performing well barring only two teams- Australia and South Africa. They have won just one match apiece against them.
They beat Australia in the 2005 NatWest Trophy in Cardiff thanks to a brilliant performance by Mohammad Ashraful. They also beat South Africa riding on the bat of Ashraful.
Bangladesh and Australia meet each other 26 times in all three formats. Out of which the Tigers could win just one match. Their triumph against South Africa in 2007 is the only victory in their 24 matches.
The bilateral series between Bangladesh and South Africa will start from today with the two-match T20 series. They will also face Australia on their home ground in September.
Bangladesh cricket team is now in good form. It is expected that they will continue their good run in this series too.

This series is comprised of two T20I matches, three ODIs and two Tests.
