Nazmul Hassan says Mustafa Kamal’s resignation will not break cricketing relation between Bangladesh and India

It was thought that Mustafa Kamal’s quitting as International Cricket Council (ICC) president will affect the cricketing relationship between Bangladesh and India. However, Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) president Nazmul Hassan has denied the possibility.
Mustafa Kamal resigned from his position claiming that he was snubbed at the trophy presentation ceremony after the World Cup final at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
He also made protest against controversial umpiring decisions that went against his native country in the World Cup quarter-final against India on March 19 in Melbourne.
Enraged Kamal after the match had showed his reaction claiming International Cricket Council an “Indian Cricket Council” and said he would resign if necessary.
As the head of the governing body, he was supposed to present the trophy to the winning side Australia, but ICC chairman Narayanaswami Srinivasan handed over the trophy. It seems that his comments made Srinivasan angry.

According to Nazmul Hassan, there is no reason for which the relationship between Bangladesh and India will be affected. Bangladesh’s complain was not against any specific country but against umpiring decision.
