India wins the rain-curtailed first ODI by 7 wickets

Defeating Bangladesh by seven wickets in the rain-curtailed first ODI match in Dhaka, India has taken a 1-0 lead of the three-match ODI series. Indian openers Ajinkya Rahane and Robin Uthappa scored half-centuries and shared a 99-run partnership in the opening stand to ease the target. India reached the revised target of 150 off 26 overs with seven balls remaining at hand.
Batting first, Bangladesh scored 272 for the loss of 9 wickets in 50 overs. Skipper Mushfiqur Rahim and Shakib Al Hasan scored 59 and 52 runs respectively.
With this match, Robin Uthappa made his return to the international cricket after nearly six years. Scoring 50 runs from 44 balls, he completed his sixth ODI half-century. Ajinkya Rahane played a passionate innings of 70-ball 64.

The second and third ODI match between Bangladesh and India will be played on 17th and 19th June.
