The
15th edition of the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards
will take place in the United States in Tampa Bay, Florida for the first time
this year. IIFA, which is known as the Oscars of Bollywood, will kick off on
April 24 and this weekend-long event will continue till 26th April. It
is said that top Bollywood stars will attend and perform in this event. Actors
will be given awards on different categories.
Price
of the tickets, which went on sale on January 14, is ranging from $93.50 to $3,294.75.
It is expected that more than 30,000 visitors will attend in this event. In
addition to Bollywood celebrities, some well-known Hollywood celebrities are
also expected to make an appearance in this awards giving ceremony.
Last
year, IIFA
Awards was organized in Macau, China where Shahrukh Khan and Shahid Kapoor
were the anchors of this event.
Other
countries in which IIFA awards was held in the past are Canada, Singapore,
Dubai and Britain.
It
is yet to know the name of the nominees for the 15th IIFA awards.
