Arsenal remains top of the EPL point table with 2-0 win against Cardiff

Arsenal football club retained their top position at the English Premier League (EPL) point table with a 2-0 win against Cardiff at the Emirates stadium. For the Gunners, Nicklas Bendtner and Theo Walcott scored two late goals to disappoint the resilient Cardiff team which played in front of expected new manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Nicklas Bendtner scored a crucial goal two minutes before the end of the last half and made a reason for the Gunners to celebrate the start of a new year. The second goal was made by Theo Walcott.
Title contenders Manchester City and Chelsea are also in the race. Man city got a 3-2 win at Swansea while Chelsea got a 3-0 win at Southampton.

Manchester City is in the second place with one point less than Arsenal while Chelsea secured their third place, two points behind the Gunners. Liverpool made their inclusion into the top four with 2-0 win over Hull.
