Pakistan all-rounder, Shahid Afridi, has been going through
a tough phase. The 33-year-old player is struggling hard to make his comeback
in the national squad announced for the upcoming tours of Scotland, Ireland and England for the Champions Trophy in June. He has been
dropped from the squad along with batsman Umar Akmal and fast bowler Sohail
Tanvir.
Shahid Afridi claims that
he is still better
than most. However, he is out of form now. He was left out of Pakistan’s squad for the ODI series in India in December 2012. However, he was selected in the
squad for South
Africa
as a leg-spinner. Due to his poor form, he was not the regular member of the Pakistan squad.
He cannot perform well
both with batting and bowling. He will have to prove his skill to make his
place in the squad and it is going to be a big challenge.
