Indian opening batsman, Virender
Sehwag, has been struggling with the bat. He is now out of form. Because of his
poor form, Indian selectors have dropped him from the squad for the remaining
Test matches against Australia.
Selectors trimmed
the squad to 14 and they did not call up anyone to replace Sehwag’s place. It
is thought that Shikhar Dhawan would make open with Murali Vijay. Both Shikhar
Dhawan and Murali Vijay played very important role in the second Test match
victory.
Virender Sehwag has so far
scored just 27 runs in his three innings during the ongoing series. He needs prove
his talent to make a come back in the squad.
Except the exclusion of
veteran player Virender Sehwag, there were no other changes in the squad for the
last two matches that will be played in Mohali on March 14 and Delhi on March 22 respectively.
Indian cricket team is now
leading the series 2-0 after winning the first two Test matches in Chennai and Hyderabad.
Sehwag’s axing comes after
his long-time opening partner Gautam Gambhir, who was also dropped due to his
poor form.
