New Zealand defeats India by 1 run



New Zealand cricket team defeated India by 1 run in the second T20 match played at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chepauk, Chennai. With a victory in the second T20 match, the touring team sealed the two-match T20 series 1-0 as the first T20 match was abandoned due to bad weather.
Winning the toss, Indian captain chose to field first. New Zealand scored 167 runs for the loss of five wickets in their allotted overs. Brendon McCullum scored 91 runs from 55 balls. Thanks to his big innings, NZ could score a challenging score.
Irfan Pathan alone took 3 wickets while other two wickets were shared by Zaheer Khan and Balaji.
In reply, Indian cricket team scored 166 runs losing four wickets. Virat Kohli scored 70 runs from 41 balls. Yuvraj Singh tried his best to lead his team to victory but failed. MS Dhoni and Rohit Sharma remained not out on 22 and 4 runs respectively.
However, fans could enjoy a hard fought match between these two teams. It was exciting till the last ball of the match.
