Mugamoodi is the latest superhero movie made in Tamil
language. It was released on August 31, 2012 in theatres all over the world.
The movie is directed by famous South Indian director Mysskin. Regarding the
movie Mysskin said, “This is my childhood dream, probably cause I read a lot of
comics I sketched this character. The film will focus on kids but I can assure
it will entertain those from 3 years to 80 years old.”
Mugamoodi tells the story of a person who cannot stand injustice
thus becomes vigilante and fights injustice to create a better society. Popular
South Indian actor Jiiva and Pooja Hegde played the male and female lead in this movie. Other actors are Nassar,
Selvaah, Girish Karnad, Anupama Kumar.
In the opening scene, the movie shows a gang of robbers that
are robbing and killing the people. It alerts the cops in the city and they
bring Gaurav, a decorate police officer. We are showed that Anand’s Bruce Lee Mugamoodi
is being trained in martial arts by his teacher.
Overall, the movie is well made and Jiva, the male lead gave
a very good performance. If you are looking for a movie that is not serious and
you want to enjoy with your friends and loved ones then this is the movie. Pooja
Hegde as the female lead did quite well.
