Rafael Nadal will not play in 2012 US Open


Due to his knee injury, the third seeded player, Rafael Nadal, cannot take part in the upcoming 2012 US Open that is scheduled to start from 27 August 2012.
He has been suffering from knee injury and there is no sign of getting recovery before the kick off of the tournament. Due to his injury, he could not take part in the recently concluded 2012 Olympics held in London.
The 26-year-old Rafael Nadal last played in Wimbledon in June where he was beaten by the world 100th ranked Lukas Rosol in the second round.
He said in a statement, “I am very sad to announce that I am still not ready to play.”
His fans will be sad to hear about his injury news. He is also upset for not being able to participate in this tournament. He will try hard to get recovery as soon as possible and will prepare himself to play in the right conditions.
Because of his injury, he could not defend his gold medal that he won in Beijing.
Tennis lovers cannot see their favorite star playing against Roger Federer and other promising tennis stars.
