BCCI will allow Pakistani cricketers to play in IPL 2013

The participation of the Pakistani cricketers in the next edition of the Indian Premier League in 2013 is beyond question. Not only the Pakistani cricketers but also the cricket fans around the world are eagerly waiting to know if they can play in the cash-rich cricket tournament.
According to the former PCB chairman, Ijaz Butt, the top officials of the BCCI has assured him of allowing the Pakistani cricketers in the next edition of the IPL that will be played in 2013.
To make sure the inclusion of Pakistani cricketers he met with former Indian Cricket Board president Sharad Pawar and IPL chairman Rajiv Shukla last week in the capital.
Keeping in mind the current president Zaka Ashraf’s visit to India for the final match of IPL 2012, PCB organized this meeting. But said, “With the consent of the incumbent PCB chairman Zaka Ashraf, I met Rajiv Shukla and Sharad Pawar, and discussed the progress on the Indo-Pak cricketing relations.”
During the three-year tenure of Ijaz Butt the relation between India and Pakistan was not good. However, this bad relation turned into sour after the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks. After the attack, India did not invite Pakistan to play any single series and since then Pakistani players have not been part of the IPL.
