Can Bangladesh defeat Pakistan?

Millions of fans around the world are excitedly waiting to see the final match of the Asia Cup 2012, which is the 11th edition of the tournament. Cricket fans are also waiting to see the winner of this match. Bangladesh will face Pakistan on 22nd March at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur. It will kick off at 08:00 GMT and 14:00 local time.

There is no confusion about the popularity of Pakistan cricket team. They are much ahead than the home side in terms of popularity. Compared to Bangladesh, Pakistan is much stronger on pen and paper. They once won the title and looking for winning the title for second time.

If we look back then we can see that Bangladesh won just two out of 29 matches. Their victory came against Hong Kong and UAE. No doubt, this time, they showed outstanding performance with two victories against World Cup 2011 finalists India and Sri Lanka out of their three games.

Bangladesh cricket team looks much stronger than before. Young studded Bangladesh squad has players like Tamim Iqbal, Shakib Al Hasan and Nasir Hossain.

The question that is roaming in the mind of cricket fans is that how Bangladesh cricket team will perform in the final match against Pakistan. It is probably their biggest achievement in their cricketing career so far. Except whitewashing New Zealand some time ago at home, this is the first time they have put together consistently solid performances for three games running against world-class opposition.

Let’s see if the host can handle the pressures of a final game.
