Bangladesh is aiming for Asia Cup title

Bangladesh will take on Pakistan in the final match of the Asia Cup. This match is scheduled to start at 08:00 GMT (14:00 local time). It will take place at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur.

For the first time, Bangladesh has reached at the final of the Asia Cup cricket tournament. Even the host has the highest hope of winning the biggest title since making their entrance in the international cricket.

Though Pakistan is unpredictable team, they will be tagged as favorite to win the title for only second time. No doubt, cricket fans can see an exciting match between these two teams. Before the Asia Cup final match, they faced each other once where the host nation lost the match by 21-run. However, it was a closely contested match.

Again Bangladesh shocked the world with a 5-wicket victory against India. With this victory, they also remained in the contest. They ensured their final ticket after defeating Sri Lanka by 5-wicket. Despite finishing level on points with Bangladesh, defending champion, India, was left out of the tournament on head-to-head record because of their defeat at the hand of Bangladesh.

Sri Lanka failed to get a victory in this tournament. They hoped to finish the tournament with a consolation victory against Bangladesh.

Pakistan got two back-to-back victories against Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. Their opening pair-Mohammed Hafeez and Nasir Jamshed, is in good form. They are providing good starts in the league stage.

Middle order comprising of experienced players like- Younis Khan and Umar Akmal, are playing very good in the middle order.

There is nothing to say about Pakistan’s spin attack. What they have to think about is their pace attack. They also have to improve their fielding attack.

No doubt, millions of eyes will be watching to see if Bangladesh can snatch the title for the first time.
