England is in good position after the end of day 2

The second Test match between Pakistan and England is going on. Today was the second day of the five-day Test. On second day, the touring team scored 207 for the loss of 5 wickets. They are still 50 runs short of Pakistan’s first innings.

Alastair Cook and Jonathan Trott shared a hundred-run partnership in the first-wicket stand after the early departure of Captain Andrew Strauss for 11. Because of their 139-run partnership, England could reach 166-2.

Alastair Cook missed his 20th Test century only for 6 runs as he was trapped lbw by Saeed Ajmal. Jonathan Trott was bowled by Abdur Rehman for 74.

Saeed Ajmal caused the big damage for England cricket team as he took three wickets for 67 in 29.5 overs. Other two wickets were taken by Mohammad Hafeez and Abdur Rehman.

Winning the toss, Pakistan chose to bat first and was dismissed for 257 in the morning session. Resuming their overnight total of 256-7, they added just one run for the loss of three wickets.

England pace duo Stuart Broad and James Anderson ripped apart the Pakistan tail and claimed the last three wickets in seven balls.

Winning the first match, Pakistan is leading the series 1-0.
