Yuvraj Singh has been left out of the third Test

Indian selectors have announced a 15-man squad for the third and final Test match against West Indies. The only change of this squad is Yuvraj Singh. Except him, selectors did not bring any more change in the squad.

Yuvraj Singh has been replaced by Rohit Sharma. The left-hander has again failed to cement his place in the longest version of cricket game. Because of his poor performances in first and second test played in Delhi and Kolkata, selectors dropped him of the squad. He scored 23, 18 and 25 in three innings.

Rohit Sharma made his return to the squad after showing his performance in the Ranji Trophy. He made 175 runs which led his team to get a victory against Railways, and 100 runs against Rajasthan in the first two games for Mumbai.

According to Indian captain, MS Dhoni, who refused to comment on selection issues before the announcement of the team for the third Test, it was all about scoring runs.

Yuvraj Singh made his debut against New Zealand in 2003. In his eight years of cricket career, he has just played 37 Tests. He was never a regular member of India’s Test squad because of strong middle order that included Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly, Rahul Dravid and VVS Laxman. After the retirement of Sourav Ganguly, selectors gave him chance in the side but he failed to cement his place.
