Millions of cricket fans are excitedly waiting to see Sachin Tendulkar scoring his 100th international century. Now, they are asking the question when India’s batting maestro will reach his new milestone. It has obviously created a huge pressure on him. However, the 38-year-old batting legend has said that it is “just a number”.
He has failed to make a new world record during the Test series in England and in the first two Tests of the ongoing series. As the third and final Test match is scheduled to be played against West Indies on November 22 in his home ground at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, he has still another opportunity left this series.
Sachin Tendulkar got his 99th international century against South Africa during the 2011 World Cup. Since then, he had not got any century except three half-centuries. He was close to a century at The Oval against England in the final Test of that tour when he scored 91 runs. It is thought that he will reach his target with the third and final Test match against West Indies.
With the match against Pakistan in Karachi on November 15, 1989, he made his international debut. He has completed 22 years in his cricket career this year.
