Amazon’s 7-inch tablet PC will be shipped in October

The world’s largest online retailer, Amazon.com, Inc., already announced their plan to enter into the competitive tablet PC market. Since then, consumers are passionately waiting for tablet PC from Amazon.com.

Rumors about Amazon’s tablet PC have been roaming in the IT world. There is not any specific date about the launch and shipment of this tablet PC. However, it is also hard to get any specification about the gadget.

The latest rumor is that Amazon’s 7-inch tablet PC will be start shipping from October while its 12-inch tablet PC will be shipping in 2012.

According to the DigiTimes, Quanta Computer will supply Amazon’s 7-inch tablet PC which is expected to start shipping this October. On the other hand, 10.1-inch tablet PC will be supplied by Foxconn Electronics. It will be produced in the first quarter of 2012. You may know that Foxconn recently manufactures the popular Amazon Kindle e-reader.

It is also said that if Amazon’s tablet PC is priced below $300 and released in the fourth quarter of this year then it may be sold up to 5 millions.

Amazon got huge success after releasing Kindle e-reader. Let’s see if they can get same kind of success in the tablet PC market.
