Injury forced Virender Sehwag and Ishant Sharma to be ruled out of the Indian squad for ODIs

It seems that Indian cricket team will have to face a very tough challenge against England in the remaining T20 international and ODI matches as their two important players, Virender Sehwag and Ishant Sharma, have been left out of Indian squad due to their injuries.

Virender Sehwag underwent shoulder surgery after the IPL and still suffering the pain in his shoulder. Besides, he was also suffering from an ear problem. On the other hand, Ishant Sharma hurt his left ankle during the Edgbaston Test.

However, these two players will be replaced by Mumbai batsman Ajinkya Rahane and Jharkhand fast bowler Varun Aaron. The 23-year-old Rahane is a top order batsman and he has a very good record in domestic cricket with an average of 67.72 in first-class cricket and 38.61 in List A format.

Varun Aaron is a fast bowler who can bowl regularly over 140kmph. He has so far played 11 First-class and 11 List A matches where he took 25 and 23 wickets respectively.

Both these two players were the members traveled to Australia with India Emerging Players and satisfied the selectors with their performances. It is the time to see if they can successfully replace them and cement their position in the national team.
