Today is the last date of online registration of application on website for the clerical post of Allahabad Bank. Earlier this month, the bank posted advertisement for 1000 clerk for its Indian branches.

Allahabad Bank is one of the largest banks of India with a rich history. The bank was established in Kolkata in 1865. At present, it has 2,402 branches all over India.
In the fiscal year of 2010-2011, the bank set a target of increasing its total business up to Rs.2.20 lakh crore and in the first nine months it achieved Rs. 2.07 lakh crore. As on December 31, 2010, the bank had a profit of Rs.1166 crore against Rs.1,206 crore last year.
The bank’s net income went up by 55.67 percent and the Net Interest Margin went up by 3.44 percent.
D Sarkar, Executive Director, Allahabad Bank said that his bank is planning to add more than twenty branches in the upcoming fiscal year.
About 65 percent of the bank branches are located in rural and semi-urban areas.
