Thoonga Nagaram movie review: Gaurav’s first directorial film

The Tamil language film, Thoonga Nagaram, is an emotional thriller film which has been released world wide on 4 February 2011. With this film, Gaurav had made his directorial debut. It was produced by Dhayanidhi Alagiri single handedly under the banner of Cloud Nine production house. Prior to the release of this film, he used to work as an assistant of K.S Ravikumar.

It stars Vimal, Bharani, Nishanth and Anjali in the important roles. Except them, director Gaurav plays as one of the four important roles of this movie. Bharani got much popularity for his performance in Naadodigal film while Nishanth became well known for his character in Renigunta.

Madhumitha and Anjali will play the female lead roles while Vimal and Gaurav play the male lead roles. It was head that Madurai MP and Union Fertilizer Minister MK Alagiri, would make short appearance in this film.

The meaning of Thoonga Nagaram is ‘The city that never sleeps’. This emotional action thriller is expected to be box office hit. The story of this film is written by Gaurav and he directed the film in the background of Madurai.

The film tells the story of four youngsters who come in Madurai for different reasons. Audience can see that how their lives turn into exciting conditions. To know more watch the film on a big screen.

This film has got a 'U' certificate from Chennai censor Board. Sundar. C. Babu composed the music of this film. It is thought that music will touch the heard of audience.

Director Ameer has been reported for lending his voice in this film. He gave introduction of this film in his Madurai language.
