Vadim Abramov is confident about his team’s success against Australia in the Asian Cup semi-final

It seems that Uzbekistan coach, Vadim Abramov, is confident ahead of their semi-final match against Australia in the Asian Cup 2011. In his observation, Australia is good but not as strong as like Brazil. He hopes that his team can beat Australia and make their place into the final round.

However, beating Australia will not be an easy task for Uzbekistan. Australia is much stronger football team compared to Uzbekistan. They have been tagged as hot favorite while Uzbekistan will go to the match as underdog.

Though Uzbekistan is not a favorite team, fans are expecting to see them fighting hard against Australia. Uzbekistan has showed very good form in the group stage and until now they are undefeated. Now, they will face a tough challenge to keep their unbeaten form. They have the experience of being beaten by Australia twice in qualifying for the 2010 World Cup.

Vadim Abramov thinks that both teams have equal chance to win the match. Captain Odil Ahmedov is hopeful about his team’s final berth.

For the second time, Australia is taking part in this sub-continental football tournament and it is their first time they are playing against each other in the Asian Cup semifinals. Australia’s coach, Holger Osieck, says that his players are not feeling any pressure but they are excited for the match.

Uzbekistan will take on Australian on 25 January 2011 at the Khalifa International Stadium in Doha. It will start at 19:25 local time (16:25 GMT).
