Salman Khan featuring Dabangg gets seven awards at Apsara awards

Salman Khan starring Dabangg had pushed all Hindi films behind in the race of award winning ceremony. This film has been awarded in seven different categories at the Chevrolet Apsara awards.

The best film award went to Dabangg while Salman Khan got the best male actor award for his role ‘Chulbul Pandey’ in this film.

Dabangg was produced by Arbaaz Khan and Malaika Arora Khan. It was the most successful film in 2010. It racked up huge revenue in the box office.

Rahat Fateh Ali Khan sang 'Mast mast do nain' song in this film and it helped him to get the best male singer award for the song.

It is interesting to see that Mamta Sharma who sang the song ''Munni Badnaam Hui'' in the same film was named as the best female singer award.

Sajid-Wajid duo composed the music of this film and for their outstanding work they received the best music award. However, Sonu Sood played who the role of ‘Chedi Singh’ was awarded for best performance in negative role.

The best actress award went to Vidya Balan and Anushka Sharma for their female lead roles in ''Ishqiya'' and ''Band Bajaa Baraat''.

Farah Khan directed Tees Mar Khan got only two awards. Farah Khan got the best choreographer award while Sunidhi Chauhan bagged the best female singer for an item number ''Sheila Ki Jawaani''.
