Manchester City will have to travel to London without their key player, David Silva, who is now suffering from injury. David Silva hurt his knee in Saturday’s win against Blackpool. Striker Mario Balotelli’s swollen knee injury forced him to rule out from the tour game.
It is thought that Manchester City will suffer because of the absence of these two important players. However, Coach Roberto Mancini will hope that new player, Edin Dzeko, will play an important role against Arsenal.
On the other hand, Arsenal looks much stronger. The big advantage for the Gunners is that they have no fresh injury concerns. One good news for Gunners is that Kieran Gibbs has come out of injury and he is likely to play in tomorrow’s game against Manchester City.
However, Manuel Almunia, Abou Diaby and Thomas Vermaelen are yet to recover from injury.
Despite not having anymore injury concern, Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger, may bring some change in the main squad to avoid the risk of picking injury.
The match against Arsenal at Emirates Stadium has become a big challenge for the touring team who is looking for winning the match. Manchester City has not won any match in Arsenal since 1975/76 season. Arsenal will try their best to keep their unbeaten form against the same opponent. They met each other in 27 matches in all competitions but Man City failed to get any victory from them.
Millions of football fans are eagerly waiting to see the exciting match between 2nd placed and 3rd place football clubs. Man City is now taking 2nd place with 41 points from 21 matches. They are behind the leader Manchester United on the basis of goal difference.
Arsenal is now in 3rd place with 39 points. They have played one match less then their opponent. If they can win the tomorrow’s match then they will move to the 2nd place overtaking Man City.
After Chelsea’s stumble to fifth place in the EPL point table, both Arsenal and Manchester City have the highest possibility to chase the leader Manchester United for the title.
Since their 3-2 over Arsenal at Highbury in October 1975, Man City has not won any away match against the Gunners. Their last match against Arsenal that ended in a goalless draw stopped Chelsea’s run of four consecutive losses away to the Gunners.
Arsenal is now in buoyant form after getting a victory over Birmingham. It will inspire them to expand their winning streak and remain unbeaten against Man City.
Let see if Man City can make any new record at the Emirates Stadium.
