India vs South Africa 2nd Test 2010: India takes lead in the first innings

The ongoing second test match between India and South Africa is now in exciting condition. Indian cricket team is now hoping to make their bounce back in the series after winning the second test match. The touring team has taken 155 with 74-run lead in the first innings after bundle the host for 131.

The presence of Indian Pace spearhead, Zaheer Khan, helps India to take lead. His return in this match proves himself lucky for his team. Harbhajan Singh and Zaheer Khan showed their superb performance with the ball.

Zaheer Khan took 3 wickets for 36 at an economy rate of 2.76. On the other hand, Harbhajan Singh took 4 wickets giving 10 runs in 7.2 overs. Harbhajan Singh proved that he can take wicket in a pitch which favors fast bowlers. Both Sreesanth and Ishant Sharma took one wicket each.

Batting first, India scored 205 runs losing all ten wickets in their first inning. However, it was obviously a poor score and cricket fans felt that India might lost the second test match and the series.

India is now batting in the second innings. The latest news of India vs South Africa is that India has scored 81 for the loss of 4 wickets. VVS Laxman was batting not out on 12 while Pujara scored not out on 6.

Lonwabo Tsotsobe took two wickets alone while the other two wickets were shared by Morne Morkel and Dale Steyn.

South Africa is leading the three-match test series by 1-0 by following their first test victory in Centurion by an innings and 25 runs.
