It is going to be the 175th meeting between Arsenal and Chelsea. It is expected to see a tough clash between these two rival teams who are trying to rediscover top gear after an indifferent couple of months.
It is also going to be a match between third and fourth placed team in the English Premier League point table. Arsenal is taking third position with 32 points off 17 matches while Chelsea is just one point behind them having played the same number of games.
Chelsea's Didier Drogba is perhaps the big threat for the Gunners. However, Arsene Wenger believes that his team must shackle the Ivorian striker if they are they want to beat their title rivals at the Emirates on Monday.
However, stopping Didier Drogba will not be an easy task for the host team as the 32-year-old striker has scored 13 goals in 13 games. What makes Arsenal much worried is that Drogba has never got any defeat against the Gunners.
The return of Frank Lampard from injury has increased the strength of Chelsea. He made his return to the starting line-up for the first time since undergoing surgery on a groin problem.
What about Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas? He said that his team was not mentally strong and were wrapped up by a fear of losing during the recent defeat by Manchester United.
Arsene Wenger will have to make a plan to defeat Chelsea without Thomas Vermaelen as he will remain on the sidelines until the end of January.
However, the injury of Yossi Benayoun and Yuri Zhirkov will force Carlo Ancelotti to find some players to replace them. However, the good news is that Jose Bosingwa is ready to make his return after he has overcome a hamstring problem.
This match will be broadcast live on Sky Sports 1.
The question is that if Arsenal can beat Chelsea in their home ground.
