Hyundai Motor Group Looking for a Strong 2010

Hyundai Motor Group could fight against economic recession of 2009 some better than some of the other major car manufacturers. The company is expecting a strong 2010 that will be filled with growth and strong performance. It wants to increase spending on Research and Development and equipments. It also wants to produce more cars. Most of all, in 2010, Hyundai will take the matter of environment friendly cars seriously.

Reuters reported:
It plans to hire 6,000 new employees this year.
"The group plans to continue investments in the development and popularisation of more fuel efficient and eco-friendly cars, for which demand is seen jumping once the economy recovers," the group said in a statement.
The plan came as the group, the world's No.4 car maker based on first-half 2009 sales, is targeting combined sales of 5.40 million vehicles in 2010, compared with 4.63 million last year. [ID:nTOE60201C]

One good thing that Hyundai has done in the recent years is that it has focused the Indian market very well and has seen some impressive success in this market.
