Bangladesh: Laptop Fair 2010 Attracts Sizable Crowd in the Opening Day

Laptop Fair 2010 started in Dhaka today. My assistant Abdul Aziz Liton visited the fair and collected all the ads of all the participating companies. So, we are hopeful that within a few days, we will be to provide a lot of information about laptops found in Dhaka markets. Just 2-3 years ago, laptop was considered to be a luxury item to most people. First of all, the price was very expensive and there was almost nothing to do even if you got one.
After all, these days, a laptop without Internet connection is almost useless. Things changed in 2008 and 2009 because mobile phone companies like Grameenphone and Citycell came up with wireless connections at affordable prices. Mr. Liton talked to some visitors and they all said that they came here to buy laptops. So, there is a good possibility that many products will be sold in this fair.
I got the press release from the organizers (Maker Communication) and I am giving it here:

So, if you live in Dhaka and you are in anyway interested about this gadget then why not visit the fair tomorrow or next day.
The best thing I liked about Laptop Fair 2010 is that a number netbook models were in display from the major major manufactures. Thus, there were a number of netbooks under 30,000 Taka.
