Nanging to Introduce a MG Model Sports Car Soon

Nanjing, the oldest car making company, has already taken the initiative to introduce a MG model sports car both in China and abroad. Nanjing ahs bought a part of the MG Rover Group, a bankrupt British automaker in 2005. Shanghai Automotive Industrial Corp., a rival auto making company of Nanjing, also bought a part of the MG Rover Group and they had already introduced a brand car named "Roewe 75", which was produced using the technology used by the MG Rover Group. So, it seems that Nanjing also wants to take a share in the market using the reputation of MG Rover Group. News Flash reported:

The company, China's oldest carmaker, bought bankrupt British automaker MG Rover Group in 2005, acquiring the MG, which enjoyed a reputation in the 1960s as a good-handling, affordable English sports car.

Nanjing Auto also acquired Power Train Ltd., MG Rover's engine-making unit.

The $362 million MG production line was inaugurated Tuesday in the eastern city of Nanjing, where the state-owned Chinese automaker was founded 60 years ago.

Well, this is a right decision taken by Nanjing as they have a huge market in China, Africa, Latin America and southern Europe. I think the company will be able to make a boost in the market with their new brand car.
