Skoda Auto Planning a Cheap Car for Asia

Skoda Auto is one of the earliest auto makers in the world. It did not originate in America or England. Skoda Auto is an automaker in Czech Republic. Now, this company is going to make a cheap car for Asian countries. Asia is a fast growing market for the automakers and Skoda Auto wants to take advantage of this market by introducing a cheap car.

Prague Daily Monitor reported:

Czech car maker Skoda Auto contemplates a cheap model line above all for India, China and Russia, chairman Detlef Wittig told today's edition of the Hospodarske noviny daily.

The car maker wants to produce three lines in the future: European-style Fabias, Octavias, Superbs and Roomsters, active lifestyle models Yeti and Joyster, and small cheap cars for China, Russia or India.

Skoda Auto has survived for decades against all the odds. Now, it is trying to expand its business in Asian countries. Skoda Auto has one advantage in this regard. It is geographically located closely to Russia, China and China. On the other hand, it can afford to have cheap workers than most US or Japanese car makers.
