India Automobile: Moving towards Success

Among the South Asian countries India has the most flourishing economy. In automobile sector the country is doing very well. I was going through this article written by TN Ninan on Indian automobile sector and I was really impressed by the statistics it has given. If such is the case then within next five or ten years India will become a big name for automobile production and export. The funny thing is that Western automakers do not take India seriously because it is considered as an under developed country. However, it is true that India has a flourishing automobile market. In India small cars have huge demand. According to the article, last year India has earned 2 and half billion through exporting automobiles but with the ongoing restructuring and modifications within the next ten years Indian automobile producers will 35 billion dollars.
