Dhoom 3 collects Rs 257.31 crore in India in two weeks

Aamir Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer Dhoom 3 has collected Rs 257.31 crore in the domestic market within two weeks of its release. It seems that the movie will continue its good run at the box office until it is going to face a tough challenge.

The third installment of Dhoom series has already become the highest grosser ever movie in India. It has set a new target of Rs 250 crore at the domestic box office. The way it is running, it looks like that very soon it will reach the 300-crore landmark.

On the last day of its second week, it could manage to collect Rs 4.61 cr in India, including the collections from Tamil and Telugu language, totaling to the collection of Rs 257.31 crore. 

Dhoom 3 collects Rs 250 crore in the domestic market within two weeks

As of January 1, Aamir Khan’s latest movie Dhoom 3 has collected Rs. 252.70 crore at the domestic box office, including earnings from the Tamil and Telugu versions. It took less than two weeks to reach that margin. However, it has also become the first movie to make the fastest Rs.100 crore in just three days of its release.

Dhoom 3, which is directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya, was released on December 20 worldwide in about 4000 screens. It includes other stars are Katrina Kaif, Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra. It took an approximate budget of Rs. 100 crore for making the film.

Trade pundit, Taran Adarsh, gave the total income report in his Twitter account. He tweeted on Thursday,

"'Dhoom: 3' week 2 - Total Hindi: Rs.240.78 crore, Tamil and Telugu: Rs.11.92 crore. Grand total: Rs.252.70 crore,".

Looking at the box office collection of the third installment of Dhoom series, it looks like that trade analysts’ prediction that the movie will gross Rs. 250 crore in the first two weeks come true.

As usual Abhishek and Uday played their roles as Jai Dixit and Ali. The interesting thing and perhaps the most exciting thing of this movie is that Aamir Khan performed doublerole as Sahir and Samar. Katrina Kaif played the role of a female acrobat, Aaliya. 

Aamir Khan’s Dhoom 3 is set to become the highest grosser ever movie in India?

Aamir Khan’s latest action thriller movie, Dhoom 3, has so far collected Rs 241 crore only in India, as of December 31. Very soon it is going to break Shah Rukh Khan’s Chennai Express to become the highest grosser ever movie domestically. It is also reported to manage 75 crore satellite right.

According to film critic Taran Adarsh, on Tuesday the Dhoom 3 Hindi language earned Rs 7.09 crore while Dhoom 3 Tamil and Telugu collected Rs Rs 0.17 crore adding together 7.26 crore. The grand total is Rs 241.92 crore.

This movie earned Rs 52.94 crore, including Tamil and Telugu version, in its second week. Since making its release on December 20, it has been doing well at the box office.

It is expected that Dhoom 3 may continue its good run in the first week of January as it is supposed to face a challenge in the second week when Dedh Ishqiya will be released on screens. With this movie, the dancing diva, Madhuri Dixit, is going to make her comeback in the film industry. 

Dhoom 3 may clinch a deal of Rs 75 crore satellite rights

Aamir Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer Dhoom 3 has broken many box office records around the world. It is now set to make a new record of becoming a highest ever revenue collector movie from satellite rights. It is said that the satellite rights of Dhoom 3 are being negotiated for an enormous 70-75 crore. It will not be a surprising matter if the satellite rights are sold at 75 crore. Readers may know that it is the second important source for filmmakers or producers to earn a good amount of money. The Hindi version of Dhoom 3 is supposed to surpass Rs 250 crore in its second weekend.

Now, it has become a big question for Hindi movie lovers that if it can manage Rs 75 crore from satellite rights. Vijay Krishna Acharya directed Dhoom 3 did many records last year. So, people are eagerly waiting to see if it can do something new in this year. 

Dhoom 3 is expected to cross Rs 400 crore mark

Aamir Khan-starrer Dhoom 3 is consistently doing well at the box office since its release. This action thriller movie has already broken many first week records in home and abroad. Now, it is set to challenge Aamir Khan’s previous all-time blockbuster film 3 Idiots that collected Rs 56 crore in its second week. This record is unbeaten for the last four years.

Shah Rukh Khan’s Chennai Express was close to touch the record but finished the second week with the collection of Rs 39 crore. The collection of Dhoom 3 on weekdays suggest that it will become the highest ever grosser of all time domestically by exceeding records of Chennai Express and 3 Idiots.

This movie is set to surpass Rs 400-crore mark. It has become the fastest movie to reach the Rs 200-crore club in its first weekend. Salman Khan-starrer Dabangg 2 was the first film to reach Rs 100-crore mark in the first weekend. 

Aamir Khan-starrer Dhoom 3 reaches triple century mark worldwide

Aamir Khan-starrer Dhoom 3 is set to become the highest grossing Indian movie ever with the box office collection of more than Rs. 300 crore worldwide in only nine days (December 28) since its release. This action thriller movie has earned Rs 211.12 crore only in India.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh in his Twitter account has given the language-wise collection of Dhoom 3 in India. The Hindi dubbed movie has so far collected Rs 200.44 crore while Tamil and Telugu dubbed have earned together Rs 10.68 crore. The total collection is Rs 211.12 net. It took lesser duration than Krrish 3 and Chennai Express to reach the double century figure. It had grossed more than 100 crore in overseas collection by Saturday.

However, it could have entered the 200-crore club within eight days of its release had it not felt short of Rs 92 lacs as it earned Rs 199.08 nett in India.

Dhoom 3, co-starring Katrina Kaif, Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra, has already broken the opening day and opening weekend collection records in India, which were set by Shah Rukh Khan's ‘Chennai Express’ and Hrithik Roshan's ‘Krrish 3’.

This movie is now eyeing to break Aamir Khan’s previous all-time blockbuster film ‘3 Idiots’ that earned Rs 56 crore in its second week. Chennai Express collected around Rs 39 crore in its second week. 

Dhoom 3 makes a new first week collection record in box office

Aamir Khan-starrer Dhoom 3, which was one of the most anticipated and talked about films of 2013, has broken Bollywood box office record of highest first week collection ever for an Indian film worldwide. It is set to break every possible record set by Bollywood films till date.

Since making its release on 20 December, the third installment of Dhoom franchise has earned a total of $58.11 million (£18.74 million) in its first weekend. Earning $ $40.95 million (£11.13 million) in India alone, it has set a new record.

It is also doing well outside India. It has grossed $17.02 million in overseas markets in the first week since its release. According to production company Yash Raj Films, Dhoom 3, co-starring Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra, has made history in North America and Australia by earning $5.76 million and $1.396 million respectively.  

However, it has also grossed $2.49 million which is a highest holiday opening for a Bollywood film. In the Middle East and Gulf states, it earned , $4.29 in six days.

It is expected to earn more money in its second weekend. It will not be a surprising thing if it becomes the highest grossing Indian film ever. Katrina Kaif who was cast against Aamir Khan has added extra spice to the success of the film.

Dhoom 3 will be released in the Maldives, Rwanda, Egypt, Germany, Peru, Romania, Japan, Russia, the CIS and Turkey.

Aamir Khan’s Dhoom: 3 breaks Shah Rukh Khan’s Chennai Express’s highest opening collection record

It looks like that Aamir Khan-starrer Dhoom: 3 is going to break all the previous box office records this year. This movie has already earned Rs 107.61 crores and made a record of highest opening collection for this year beating Shah Rukh Khan's Chennai Express which grossed Rs 100.35 crores.

According to official statement, Dhoom: 3, which was released on 20 December 2013 in about 4000 theatres, earned Rs 36.22 crore on the first day followed by Rs 33.36 crore on Saturday and 38.09 on Sunday.

Trade experts predict that this movie will cross Rs.250 crore by the end of this week thanks to Christmas and New Year holidays. Ahead of the holidays, demand for tickets has been increased. Another important reason of doing well in week days is that it is not facing any big competition at the box office until the release of Dedh Ishqiya on January 10, next year.

Ahead of Christmas, Spice Cinemas Delhi has booked 4,000 tickets, which accounts for 50 percent of their total seating capacity, said Punit Sahay, senior manager programming, Spice Cinemas. According to Gautam Dutta, COO, PVR Cinemas, their pre-booking status for the week is worth Rs.3.5 crore.

Along with Hindi version, Dhoom: 3 is dubbed in Tamil and Telugu language and is released in Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh respectively. The interesting thing is that this movie is getting good response from the northern part of India also. In Chennai more than 50 percent tickets are sold out for the next three days at major multiplexes.

Now, Bollywood movie lovers are excitedly waiting to see if Dhoom: 3 can break all the previous record or not.

Katrina Kaif will do underwater stunts in Dhoom 3

The much awaited Hindi film, Dhoom 3, has been getting huge publicity seen its announcement. Everyday, we can see new rumor or news spreading in web regarding this movie.

The latest news that we can hear in B town is that Katrina Kaif has already started shooting for the film. She is getting trained for some high voltage action sequences. However, the production team did not say anything about it.

Dhoom 3 release date has been delayed

There is no doubt that Hindi movie fans are eagerly waiting for the release of Dhoom 3. However, fans will be upset to hear that Aamir Khan, one of the important characters of this film, has delayed the release of this much awaited film.

Director Vijay Krishna Acharya has taken the decision to delay the release after consulting with Aamir Khan.

Dhoom 3 was scheduled to be released during Christmas in 2012. But the release date has been changed and it is likely to be released in the theatres in 2013. It is heard that Salman requested Aamir Khan to delay the release to avoid the clash Dabangg 2.

The shooting of Dhoom 3 has not yet started. It is likely to begin from the end of November in 2012.

Aamir Khan is the main attraction of this film. He will play the villainous character. That is why, this film has got much attention to movie lovers. Katrina Kaif will act opposite him. However, there will be no replacement for both characters played by Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra. They will continue their own iconic roles of Jai Dixit and Ali.
