Bangladeshi cricketer Shakib Al Hassan has
regained top position in the International Cricket Council (ICC) Player
Rankings for ODI All-rounders. With this achievement, he has once again become
number one all-rounder in all three formats- Test, ODI and Twenty20, of the
game.
Shakib Al Hassan first topped
in all three formats as an all-rounder
just ahead of the World Cup earlier this year. However, due to his poor
form in the World Cup, he lost his position. According to the latest ICC
rankings, Shakib has put down Sri
Lanka's Tillakaratne Dilshan in the second position with 408 points. Dilshan
has 404 points and is followed by his compatriot Angelo Mathews with 308.
His
performance with both the bat and ball has helped him to claim this position
again. In the recently concluded three-match ODI series against India, he
scored 123 runs at an average of 61.50 runs including two half-centuries. He
also took three wickets giving 99 runs in the series which Bangladesh won 2-1.
